Bir al-Shaghala, Egypt. late third or early fourth century AD. Greece and Rome. Known. Free

Known. Diggers found a mudbrick pyramid tomb with a Greek poem of 19 lines.

The tomb is at Bir al-Shaghala, in the Dakhla Oasis, Egypt. The poem dates to the late third or early fourth century AD. A stone stair of 14 steps leads down to an arched chamber with two burial rooms. The entrance shows the seventh hour of the night journey of the sun god, plus images of Osiris. The poem is written in red ink and names a man called Psychtis. An offering table, pottery, and a bronze coin were also found.

The page says he may have been a judge, and it is still unclear who used the tomb later.
