Stone circles high on a mountain

Mendoza, Argentina. Debated. Free

Debated. The stone circles are real, but the team has not shown that they are geoglyphs.

The circles are in the Cordillera del Tigre, in Mendoza, Argentina. The page gives no age. They measure about 27 to 35 metres across, more than 3,000 metres above the sea. Dry-stone walls form paths between the circles. Stones also sit in shallow trenches. No pottery or food remains were seen on the ground.

The page says it is still not known who built the circles, or why.
