Known. A Fifth Dynasty tomb at Saqqara still keeps much of its first colour.
The tomb is in the Mariette Cemetery at Saqqara, about 40 kilometres southwest of Cairo, Egypt. It dates to the end of the Fifth Dynasty, in the reign of King Djedkare Isesi, about 4,400 years ago. It has two chapels, one for a judge called Yunmin and one for his father Ity. The walls of Yunmin show farm work and lines of offerings, and some paint is still bright. The chapel of Ity has a false door, but most of its decoration has worn away.
The page does not say what is still argued.
