Known. A stone statue shows a person seated on a leopard.
The statue is at Karahantepe, in southeastern Turkey. It is about 11,000 years old and about 70 centimetres tall. It was left on a stone bench inside a small building with a flat stone floor, about 3 metres across. Older carvings at this site show leopards carried on the backs of people. This one places the person on the animal.
The page says what the statue meant must wait for a closer study.
