Known. One hundred gold pieces were found together.
They come from Dariyah, in Al-Qassim, Saudi Arabia. They are from the Abbasid era, more than 1,100 years ago. Building remains at the site date to the late 9th century AD. The gold includes pendants, discs, beads, and spacers, with flower and geometric patterns. One large disc is set with coloured stones. The dig also found stone wall bases, mudbrick, plastered rooms, and fire hearths.
The page says the pieces were likely strung as necklaces or ceremony jewellery. It does not show the string.
