Known. A marble Athena was found face down in a theatre.
The theatre is the Western Theatre at Laodicea, in Turkey. The statue dates to the reign of Augustus, from 27 BC to 14 AD. It is white marble and two metres tall. The head has not been found. She wears a sleeveless dress and a cloak. On her chest is a covering with the head of Medusa. The back is only roughly finished, so the statue was meant to stand between columns.
The page says she may stand for weaving, because the city was known for wool. It also says Athena is often a war goddess. That choice is not settled.
