A second Crusader sword in the sea

Dor Beach, Israel. 12th century. Last 1,000 years. Known. Free

Known. The same student found a second Crusader sword in this stretch of sea.

The sword was near Dor Beach, on the Carmel Coast of Israel. It is from the 12th century and about a metre long. It was made to be used in one hand. The page says it was likely made in Europe. Sea life had crusted it, so it was scanned before cleaning. The first sword was found in the same area in 2021. The page says only a handful of swords like these are known in Israel.

The page does not say what is still argued.
